Weekend Bliss

What do you do on weekends to relax?

Photobucket

Our apartment complex is a pretty good place to unwind. They have built a mini beach jutting into a pond with little tiki huts and beach chairs, and the swimming pool has a fun little swim-up bar. We often don't really use these amenities, but with our niece and nephew staying with us for a few weeks, we've been spending a lot of time there.

We spent the weekend relaxing at the pool, making parfaits, having breakfast in the outdoor kitchen with friends, and just enjoying an uncluttered weekend.

What's your favorite way to relax?

That sounds like such a nice weekend. I love to relax by laying a blanket out on the grass under one of our maple trees and browsing through cookbooks and magazines. My two border collies and our barn cat usually join me.

Your complex sounds wonderful! Can I ask you what parfait is? We don't have this word in the UK and I am unsure what it is!

I love weekends chilling out and doing nice activities,

Sounds like the perfect weekend to me!

It's winter (as you know) in Aus. So my perfect weekend at the moment is sleeping in, followed by coffee & pastries...mmmm...

Those parfaits look absolutely delicious! My favorite way to relax over the weekend is by reading. Lots and lots of reading ideally. Outdoors. That just somehow replenishes me.

Sounds perfect! Your amenities sound pretty awesome with the tiki bar - funny how sometimes it takes visitors to make you enjoy what you already have :)
