Television Decorating

I've mentioned this on here before, but Brian and I don't have a TV.

But if we did, I would want to hoist it up on an easle, just like this:

Wow! That is extremely creative! I wonder how sturdy that would be though. Thanks for sharing the inspiration. :)

What a great idea.

Well, it is definitely a unique idea! I'm a pretty big fan, but don't know if it would make for "optimal viewing." My husband is serious about his technology and I doubt he would ever let me do that!

Yeah, i am guessing these are heavy-duty, possibly custom-made easles to support these televisions. Otherwise I would be scared to risk it!

I love that you don't have a TV. When everything switched to digital, I didn't buy a converter box. I kept my TV so I could watch movies but didn't watch regular broadcast television. Since getting married and moving into my husband's place, we now have a TV and, to be honest, there's days that I want to throw it out the window or run over it with a tractor!

That would be so cool to do that! I love with this concept!

kudos to you for not having a tv! i sheepishly admit ours is almost constantly on - i love the background noise of chitter chatter. perhaps we should invest in a good radio instead!

Wow, Dionne you guys still don't have a t.v.! You probably get more projects done without one.

Since I have three kids they can get pretty loud, so I turn on a program or movie and they get completly silent. I know that sounds terrible, but it works! Lol

What a fun idea! We have a TV... but not cable. We use strictly Netflix and Hulu!

That is seriously AMAZING!

My 1999 television would crush that easel, but if I ever get a flat screen, that would be an awesome way to set it up.

LOVE that idea Dionne...but not sure if my hubby would go for it :)

Sometimes I wish we didn't have a TV cause there can be days in which I just vegetate in front of it!
I like the idea of the easel. We have ours mounted on the wall, and it's one of those slim TV's so it doesn't bother me, it kinda' looks like a big black picture on the wall :)

Home without a television sounds too sublime for words. Before the Fancy I didn't own a TV, sigh.. These easel displays are ingenious, I love clever + creative ideas.

how do you live without a TV?! haha. I actually never had my own TV in my room until I moved home last spring. and all through college I didn't have a TV in my room... I survived somehow :) but I do love this easel idea; so creative! kind of like turning the TV into art in a way.

That's kinda freakin' rad. I could definitely see that fitting in nicely in an artist's loft! Love it!

Girl - do you KNOW how many awesome tv shows you're missing? 30 Rock? Hello?! ;)

Three cheers for you and Brian for going without television. When we got married (33 years ago), we went several years without TV. Instead, we got to know each other. Fun.

Fondly,
Glenda

Y'know, I can never get enough of your illustrations. They're amazing! :) And that's definitely a creative way of setting the TV up. Gotta find a very strong easel at that. x

I've never seen anyone put their television on an easel before, but it's a brilliant idea, and super cute. I'd have to try extra-hard not to bump into it, though.
