I've always liked the idea of wearing pretty dresses to the park, and while I LOVE to wear dresses - I just can't seem to be comfortable wearing them at the park.
.............

Is it just me? When I go to the park, I like to lie on the grass and roll down grassy slopes. I really can't do that in a dress.

What would you give up? Rolling on the grass or wearing dresses to the park?

(PPS. Roy Joy is having a lovely vintage salt & pepper shaker giveaway here. I entered. Have you?)

I always wonder how the girls in the photoshoots do it? I'd still wear a dress to the park but remember to bring a blanket with me to sit on & wear sandals so i can at least put my feet in the grass! Cute images =)
you should definitely do both. Just wear a very long maxi dress. :)
I love the idea of running around a park in a pretty summer dress :) Go for it!
I think I'd go to the park twice! Once to wear a pretty dress, and another to roll around in the grass.
I think I'll give up wearing dress for the first time and enjoy rolling down the slope then the next time I'll wear dress and feels like I'm floating with the wind.
Well, since I am allergic to grass, I don't roll or lie on it, but I get you! Thank god for rompers... though I'm not crazy about them, they are the closest thing to a dress you could wear to the park and not worry... ;)
Have a great weekend sweets!
haaha, my wedding next month will be very pretty things at the park so i guess i can't roll on the grass, i am going to have to wear my pretty dress :) happy weekend! xo.
Wear leggings under your dress: problem solved! ;)
Oh that's true, although I have played frisbee in the park a few times in dresses! :) Just go for it!
I gave up wearing dresses to the park years ago and haven't missed it. Rolling in the grass is a necessity.
Remember when you were little, and it didn't occur to you that rolling down a hill in a dress could possibly be bad? I would make sure it's at least knee-length and easily washable and just go for it. What's the worst thing that could happen? Someone sees your undies? You could find a less-populated park or you could just remind yourself that everybody wears undies. Who cares?
I think wearing a dress comfortably is mostly about getting used to it. I do hope you give it a try :)
cheers!

haha yes i know that dress-park-problem very well myself.
for the city i take a pretty dress and for the park i stick to pretty shorts or a colourful pair of trousers :)
