Tieing Down Sunlight

I am a Daytime person.

I wish there was a way to catch Sunlight, and anchor it down like a Helium Balloon...

.................Photobucket

... but no matter how hard I try - even if I turn back the hours on my clock - it still escapes from me every day.

Photobucket

While it does like to stay and play longer in the warmer months, when it's ready to leave, I need to bid it goodnight, and wait until the next time it comes to visit.

(PS. A reminder to Texas Bloggers that the Texas Blogger's Cupcake Social is coming in May in Houston. Email me at spotty_zebra@hotmail.com for info)
(PPS. My latest post is up at Meylah, come here to check it out)

those pictures are lovely.. and your drawing is whimsical as ever. the sun is peeking out here in new england after a few days of rain and i'm trying to soak it all in. i agree... i wish i could bottle it up for a rainy day.

Love this post! I feel the same way. It's so pretty here today that I'm having a hard time working inside. I keep longingly out my window at the blue sky...

Sigh.

Make that "looking longingly out my window..."

What beautiful photos! It's a gorgeous, sunny day here in Minnesota, so I can't wait to go outside and play!

That sun flare in the 'peeking light' photo is gorgeous! And I'm the same way. Love spring forward savings time even though I lose an hour of sleep because I get an hour later of sunshine.

I definitely am a sunshine person as well...as much as I love the rain (when I don't have to drive in it) I love waking up to daylight and spending as much time in the sun as possible during those spring and summer months. Here's hoping you're getting your fair amount of sunshine over in Houston!

So true...and yet I wouldn't trade seeing a sunset or sunrise for any number of those balloons! And it's amazing the great things that happen in the night hours...what amazing design...how it all flows together in perfect order.
