I had FIFTEEN cupcakes within an hour last night.
Fifteen of my Tablespoon Cupcakes. Tiny, adorable little cupcakes. I found a bunch of tiny little paper cups for chocolates when I was cleaning out the pantry, so I decided to bake some tiny little cupcakes. Each little cupcake is just one tablespoon of cake batter. Aren't they cute?

Wouldn't these look great for a wedding reception or baby shower, perched on lovely vintage spoons?

No! No more temptations, please! I've been seeing cupcakes on everyone's blog lately! I have zero willpower when it comes to those little devils.
I absolutely love your drawings. You are so amazing, as are your photos and your culinary genius! What cute little cupcakes!
Those cupcakes are amazing! Did you just bake them on a pan, or do you have teeny-tiny little cupcake trays?
I am making some of those as soon as possible!
Those cupcakes are adorable and look extremely delicious. My stomach is growling right now. LOL
Great idea and cute! You are so creative and active!
OMG I love cupcakes!!
Those are absolutely adorable.
A great amuse-bouche!
These are certainly adorable! and I bet delicious too! : )
LOL! when i first started reading this and i read that you had eaten 15 cupcakes i honestly stopped and thought about that for a minute trying to figure out how someone could eat 15 whole cupcakes.
Oh gosh Dionne, those are just too cute! I love them!
What a great idea!! These are so cute. Not going to lie though, until I read your full post I almost threw up in my mouth thinking of eating 15 cupcakes in one setting :)
OMG! I looove them! Those are so freakin cute!
So cute! What a great idea!
These are amazing looking and I think I could have eaten 20 at least!
they are so cute! did you use a tiny cupcake baking pan? or just put a tablespoon of batter into the cups??
D, the micro-cakes are inspired. I think you're right; for parties or showers these would be inspired. I'm really into tea and cakes, so these little sprites would be perfect for an afternoon tea time. They look totally professional, I think I may need a tutorial.
way to yummy for words.
your blog is so pretty!!!
Those look great!
i love this idea!!!
Oh! That's great! I had some mini cupcake pans but they ended up burning when I tried... I will have to try your version out! Thanks :)
these are so cute. And I can't get over how beautiful your photographs are!
As for posting my "Get out and explore LA blogs" sooner... sigh. I know, I know... but you can live vicariously through me, and if you ever come back and visit LA, now you have a ton of stuff to do since I'm making this one of my regular posts. :)
what an amazing idea!
That would be awesome! I'd love to be included and get to know more bloggers out here :) Thanks so much!
Aaaaah! I want!
Aw! Those are so cute! My sister Grace is right next to me and she goes "Those are really cute! I want them"
They would look adorable for a wedding reception or baby shower.
Now I'm craving those cupcakes...the frosting looks so glossy. Grace wants me to let you know that the pink one looks the best. (Pink's her favorite color.)
I have a teeny tiny cupcake tin, and love it. I feel far less guilty about having a cupcake when it's a mere bite! They always go over well at parties too, since they're the perfect sweet finger food. These look scrumptious!
I'm OBSESSED!
Oh my goodness - that is SO stinkin' CUTE! Fun idea and I love the new "spoon fed" art!
These look delicious. Ok, you can justify having 15 cupcakes bc they were tablespoon size so it doesn't really count, haha.
Such a good idea... I love the way they look! These would be perfect for a shower!
Those itty bitty cupcakes are so cute! What is your icing/topping? Adorable!
It's just regular vanilla frosting (icing sugar, cream, butter, vanilla, food coloring).
But my secret tips to make it have that gloss are:
1. corn syrup!
2. after you've iced the cupcakes, run hot water over your spoon and smooth out the icing (but just a tiny bit so the icing doesn't get all runny). This makes the icing melt a little bit and gives it an extra-glossy sheen!
Hello Fellow Houstonite:
What adorable cupcakes and a great idea of any special event. You are incredibly creative! Thanks for your comment on my blog today; love it. Can't believe your in-laws actually have a pit!! So jealous. Thanks for the icing tip too. Can't wait to try that Xx deb
