A girlfriend and I met up for lunch at this cute little restaurant. It's in this little nook in town that's full of eclectic little cafes, clothing stores, and antique stores. It's not your usual generic, inner-city eatery area, this part of town has a unique character to it.
After surveying the menu, we decided to split a pizza and then also get our own personal bowls of soup and salad. Did I mention that it was the perfect lunch? The salad was AMAZING. I love oil-based dressings, I am not into all this creamy stuff (Ranch is so blah!). And how can you go wrong with feta and capers in your salad? You pretty much can't! And then there was the soup. This perfectly spiced corn chowder. Bliss! And then finally -- well the pizza was one of the BEST PIZZAS I HAVE EVER HAD! The crust was perfect, the topping was perfect, the temperature was perfect.
Yup, this is a short post.
I just wanted to brag to you about my lunch.

Sounds a lot better than my left over bit of sloppy joes. The dude thought his bottle was more important than my lunch. Can you believe that? Your salad sounds YUMMY!

Well, while pizza is pretty much my favorite thing ever in the world, I just had a fine bowl of my own Creamy Corn and Roasted Pepper Soup from Trader Joes. Mmm. Delish. Sure beats the school salad bar...with ranch!
i love finding unique restaurants that others may pass over. the lunch looks delicious by the way :) my lunch today was one to brag about.. greek chicken salad ..yum!

my lunch today is leftover indian food from dinner. naan bread and cheese curry and a vegetable. its 10.30am and i cant wait for lunch!

Yesterday was Ju Ju's graduation and we had the picnic at her school with all the kids, parents and family memenber. Each family brought something to share... I made fruit salad..
Looking at all the little ones running around at schoo playground and mingling with the big people and good food was something I would call "Perfect Lunch" :)
Haven't had lunch yet, but since I'm working from home today and have a big job to finish I'm afraid it will be leftovers from last night. And spaghetti does not re-heat well. Glad you had the perfect lunch, though! Made me very hungry to read about it, and over here it's only ten in the morning. Will have to make another cup of tea.

It sounds great...never tried apples on a pizza, but a nutty sweet apple and sharp cheese go together nicely.

Waaaah - yes, Nicole Marie, I am allergic to lipstick. Just lipstick, not other makeup. And chapstick. It's the chemicals they put in them. There's only a few brands I can use, and they're the earthy, organic ones, but they cost a mint! So I just go bare-lipped usually.
